    Manuel Coursin: Good evening. My name is Hans Plantation. I’m the playwright. You’ve chosen well. In this show, everything has been designed exactly according to dance-theater standards. The stage has been cleaned, the backstage area is wide open, the sound and lighting…very normal, and the dancers are ready to give it their all. There will be no swear words in this piece with the exception of: dirty clump, fuck the Pope, son of a bitch. And as I’ve just said them, you can be sure there won’t be any more of that sort of thing. As you can see, the beginning of the show went well, and the rest promises to live up to it. So, while the dancers take a short break, called FREEZE, I’ll summarize what’s already happened. First, a voice in the dark, followed by a mix of natural sounds and a Robert Wyatt song as Maguelonne tries to convince Chiara to accept her into the Company. And that’s it. Suddenly, 4 chairs; Later on, it’s possible that some problems might appear and we can’t yet know what those problems will be and where they’ll come from. I suppose we have the same kind of problem. A problem of silence, but what silence?

     

    Manuel Coursin : Bonsoir. Je me présente, Hans Plantation. Je suis le dramaturge. Vous avez bien choisi. Dans ce spectacle, tout a était conçu exactement selon les standards du danse-théâtre. Le plateau a été nettoyé, les coulisses sont grandes ouvertes, le son et la lumière…très normal et les danseurs sont prêts à se donner à fond. Il n’y aura pas de gros mots dans cette pièce à l’exception de : sale touffe, va te faire enculer par le Pape, fils de pute. Et comme je viens de les prononcer, vous pouvez être sûr qu’il n’y aura pas d’autres interventions de ce genre. Comme vous pouvez le constater, le début du spectacle s’est bien passé, et la suite promets d’être à la hauteur. Ainsi, pendant que les danseurs font une petite pause, appelée FREEZE, je vais résumer ce qui s’est déjà passé. D’abord, une voix dans l’obscurité, suivie d’un mélange de sons naturels et d’une chanson de Robert Wyatt pendant laquelle Maguelonne essaie de convaincre Chiara de l’accepter au sein de la Compagnie. Voilà. Tout d’un coup, 4 chaises ; Plus tard, il est possible que certains problèmes pourraient apparaître et nous ne pouvons pas encore savoir quels seront ces problèmes et d’où ils viendront. Je suppose que nous avons le même type de problème. Un problème de silence, mais quel silence ?
